A Humorous Twist on the Usual Auto Liability Fraud Case

As investigators dedicated full time to investigating potentially fraudulent claims, we have yet to get an assignment involving a deceased pet. In just such a case in Washington State a claimant reported his cat was killed in a 2009 auto accident and was seeking $ 20,000 in compensation. Unfortunately “his cat” was nothing more than a image on Google and he is now charged criminally.
